Which Diseases Does Pathology Cover?

When pathology is mentioned, the first disease that comes to mind is cancer. The pathology unit, which plays a major role in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, includes all kinds of infectious and virus-based diseases. Gastroenterological diseases, endoscopic or colonoscopic examinations are also included in the scope of pathology. In every suspected disease, if a tissue or cell needs to be examined, this process is carried out with pathology.

How Does the Pathology Process Occur?

The timing of the pathology process performed in accordance with the suspected disease varies according to the disease. In line with the results obtained from the suspicious cell or tissue, the disease is diagnosed and the treatment process is started. Pathology outcome processes generally vary between 2-10 days.

What are the Pathology Stages?

At the beginning of these examinations, the investigation of the factors that cause the disease, namely Etiology, the formation process of the disease, namely Pathogenesis.
