Maltepe University Faculty of Medicine Hospitals Department of General Surgery continues to work in cooperation with many branches due to its wide area of responsibility.
The Department of General Surgery, which mostly deals with different types of cancer diseases, works with the departments of Pathology, Medical and Radiation Oncology, Radiology, Interventional Radiology and Gastroenterology for the diagnosis, surgery and subsequent treatment process of the disease.
Traumatology is another area of responsibility of the General Surgery Department. Particularly, General Surgery, which intervenes in multi-organ injuries, cooperates here with Urology, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Cardiovascular Surgery departments.
